“Luisne” (pronounced lishne) is Irish meaning “the first blush of light before dawn breaks”. One of Luisne’s goals is to contribute to the dawn of a new consciousness. Since 2004 Luisne has served a growing community throughout Ireland. Its beautiful undisturbed environment could justifiably be called a “spiritual landscape.”

Luisne provides events, courses, workshops, talks, meditation sessions, cultural & theatrical events and much more for the local and wider community, both on an individual and group basis.

    The creative and talented Lorraine O’Brien is back to encourage and enable you to get in touch with your creative side and have fun in the process. A Poet is someone who can pour light into a cup then raise it to nourish your beautiful parched holy mouth (Hafiz) The main aim of this course is to make you fall in love with poetry. If you are already in love with poetry, this course will delight you. You will come to realize that a poem can become a teacher, a guide, even a prayer. A poem can teach us to navigate our way through the trials and tribulations of life in profound and sacred way. Each session begins with a ‘Poetry Bath’ - you relax and I bathe you in the delicious words of poets such as Rumi, Hafiz, Mary Oliver, Rilke, David Whyte, Seamus Heaney and many, many more. Each person is then invited to share with the group a poem which speaks to them. A word or a line from that poem is then chosen as a starting point for a piece of free flow self enquiry writing. We end an invitation to share (optional). Each session will include breath work and meditation. Booking on for Mondays (8 sessions) 7.30 to 9.30pm. €50

    Susan will be running a five week live stream studying Camille Pissarro and the Impressionists from 8th September to 6th October.The subject will be a thatched village scene with figures which we shall paint together in the style of Pissarro. You will both look at the story of Pissarro and paint together a picture in his style step by step. There is live interaction with the tutor Tuesdays between 11.30am and 1.30pm, after which the recording of the stream will be up-loaded, and available according to your payment plan. You are also welcome to send your own paintings in for review either live on screen or by email if you prefer to have private feedback. You can also email your questions at any time. More

  14. An Introduction to Tai Chi and Qi Gong with Laurence Reddin from the Jade Sun School

    Laurence offers Tai Chi & Qi Gong classes in Greystones as well as Solar Sound Healing at Elysium Sanctuary, Sandycove, Co. Dublin. He is a certified Level 1 Tai Chi & Qi Gong Instructor and a Level 2 Qi Gong Instructor. He has been a Registered Tai Chi & Qi Gong Instructor with the School since 2016. Laurence will be conducting an introductory course on Tai Chi and Qi Gong. Included will be an introduction to the Tai Chi and specific detail on the Qi Gong. Tai Chi and Qi Gong, an ancient form of mind/body discipline, is the most well-known, and commonly heard of, Chinese health practice. It translates as the “Supreme Ultimate”. Its methods help us heal mind, heart, and soul frictions that we all carry by showing us how to use our feelings of disconnectedness to go deeper and have the experience of “Self” that connects us to the flow of life from the inside out.   29. An Introduction to Tai Chi and Qi Gong with Laurence Reddin from the Jade Sun School

    Laurence offers Tai Chi & Qi Gong classes in Greystones as well as Solar Sound Healing at Elysium Sanctuary, Sandycove, Co. Dublin. He is a certified Level 1 Tai Chi & Qi Gong Instructor and a Level 2 Qi Gong Instructor. He has been a Registered Tai Chi & Qi Gong Instructor with the School since 2016. Laurence will be conducting an introductory course on Tai Chi and Qi Gong. Included will be an introduction to the Tai Chi and specific detail on the Qi Gong. Tai Chi and Qi Gong, an ancient form of mind/body discipline, is the most well-known, and commonly heard of, Chinese health practice. It translates as the “Supreme Ultimate”. Its methods help us heal mind, heart, and soul frictions that we all carry by showing us how to use our feelings of disconnectedness to go deeper and have the experience of “Self” that connects us to the flow of life from the inside out. This conscious experience of one’s innate nature is why Tai Chi is often called moving meditation. Classes on Wednesdays and only €90 for 8 x 1 hour classes
