Yoga Class Tuesday

An event every week that begins at 7:30pm on Tuesday, repeating until March 20, 2018
Yoga classes Kilcoole €110 for 10 weeks or €13 per session.
Hatha Yoga is the basis of all Yoga styles. Niamh’s classes vary dependent on who is there, and what particular issues present themselves at any given session, being tailored as much as possible to each individual. However, there will always be an emphasis on safety of the spine, and an aspect of core strengthening. Breathing and a little meditation are a regular part of all Niamh’s classes. These classes are suitable for all.
Vinyasa Flow is a little more physically demanding. The title simply means that the body is moving a little more, with a sequence that is returned to after each pose. You can expect to build up a little heat, but not to be asked to achieve the impossible! This class is suitable for all levels, but not for those with long term or acute injuries or illnesses of the spine.

In all of her teaching, Niamh will ensure you are doing Yoga to the best benefit of your body and with a lightness of touch, allowing you to relax and explore in your own time.
Niamh has been teaching Yoga for 10 years. Her interest in the body began much earlier, as her acting career showed her the value of a free body to allow one’s fullest physical, creative, intellectual and emotional potential to come through. From the Alexander Technique, 5 Rhythms dancing, Physical theatre, and many styles of Yoga, Niamh has found a practice that she values so highly that her desire to share it led her to teach Hatha Yoga. The integrity of the spine, and the search for a non-damaging, healing Yoga practice are foremost in her teaching, with a focus on strength of body, and compassion to one’s self.
Teaching Hatha, Vinyasa, Yin and Restorative Yoga, and as a practitioner of Thai Massage, Niamh has trained with internationally renowned teachers.*
Niamh trained at Sivananda Yoga Vedanta TTC, and with Kathmandu Centre of Healing. Additional training with Marlene Ffrench Mullen, and Donna Farhi.
