As we approach the Winter Solstice and the hyperactivity of Christmas preparations we invite you to join us to take a little time out for Heartfulness Relaxation & Meditation.
Heartfulness is a simple meditation practice that helps us to connect within to our heart. It helps to calm the busyness of our minds and offers easy to follow practices that can lead to heart filled connection with ourselves and with others.

PART 1 - The parables of Jesus are found not only in all four gospels but also in some of the non-canonical gospels. They form approximately one third of the recorded teachings of Jesus, so we rightfully attach importance to them. We can consider them to be similar to Aesop’s Fables, seemingly simple and memorable stories, often with imagery, and all conveying messages. Scholars, however, tell us that although these parables seem simple, the messages they convey are deep, and central to the teachings of Jesus. Many of Jesus's parables refer to simple everyday things, such as a woman baking bread (parable of the Leaven), a man knocking on his neighbour's door at night (parable of the Friend at Night), or the aftermath of a roadside mugging (parable of the Good Samaritan); yet they deal with major religious themes.
Diarmuid will help us to look at the parables in a different light helping us to see below their surface meaning, often revealing the ‘sting in the tail’ at the end of the story.
