The creative and talented Lorraine O’Brien is back to encourage and enable you to get in touch with your creative side and have fun in the process.
A Poet is someone who can pour light into a cup then raise it to nourish your beautiful parched holy mouth (Hafiz)
The main aim of this course is to make you fall in love with poetry. If you are already in love with poetry, this course will delight you. You will come to realize that a poem can become a teacher, a guide, even a prayer.
A poem can teach us to navigate our way through the trials and tribulations of life in
profound and sacred way. Each session begins with a ‘Poetry Bath’ - you relax and I bathe you in the delicious words of poets such as Rumi, Hafiz, Mary Oliver, Rilke, David Whyte, Seamus Heaney and many, many more. Each person is then invited to share with the group a poem which speaks to them. A word or a line from that poem is then chosen as a starting point for a piece of free flow self enquiry writing. We end
an invitation to share (optional). Each session will include breath work and meditation.
