DESCRIPTION:Alan Lyons\, psychologist\, states in a recent issue of the Irish Times health section: To look after ourselves we need to look after our four dimensions: our spiritual\, physical\, mental and social/emotional wellbeing. Probably the dimension we neglect most is our spiritual. We need to search for that which nourishes us on our spiritual path – and what better way to do that than to search together!\n\nThese sessions replace the former Centering Prayer/Introduction to Meditation sessions. They will comprise input from various spiritual writers and traditions\, a period of meditation\, a sharing on the input to enrich each participant’s understanding and insight regarding the input and will end with prayers relevant to the input and to one’s daily life.

SUMMARY:Extended Meditation Practice
DESCRIPTION:Donations welcome.\n\nExtended Meditation is on the first Saturday of each month during Luisne Terms\n\nFor most of the first Saturdays throughout the year (during term time)\, we gather to share a day together of extended mindfulness meditation practice\, from 10.30 to 1.00. These sessions include quick walking\, silent meditation\, mindful walking and chanting. All are welcome. Please see the events calendar for dates.\n\nWe all need help to keep up and maintain our personal spiritual practice and for this reason\, meditation is central to life at Luisne. These sessions include quick walking\, silent meditation\, mindful walking and chanting. All are welcome!\n\nOur meditation mats and cushions are available for purchase. They are handmade using organic coconut fibre\, lamb’s wool\, buckwheat husks and cloth. Both mats and cushions have an outer removable and washable cover. The use of these mats and cushions helps to encourage correct posture and comfort during meditation and they are highly recommended for anyone who mediates on a regular basis.\n\nLooking for a comfortable mat and cushion? SUMMARY:Reflections on Mysticism
DESCRIPTION:During these evenings of Reflections on Mysticism\, we begin with a twenty-minute guided meditation session followed by a ten-minute walking meditation and then a further twenty-minute silent meditation. This practice is followed by discussion on Mysticism across Western and Eastern traditions. While ‘Mysticism for Modern Times’ & ‘Eternal Wisdom’ by Willigis Jaeger* remain the principal source of inspiration other valuable texts are also explored.\n\n“Only the still pool reflects the stars” Zen\n\nThe value of these evenings lies in the power of meditation within a group setting. The experience reaches far beyond the intellect and human knowledge. Recent scientific research has proven the universal value of this ancient wisdom that we try to espouse.\n\n‘As we recover more and more of the ancient contemplative traditions\, we are finding immense similarities in goal\, practice\, and effects. SUMMARY:Walking the Spiritual Path Together
DESCRIPTION:Alan Lyons\, psychologist\, states in a recent issue of the Irish Times health section: To look after ourselves we need to look after our four dimensions: our spiritual\, physical\, mental and social/emotional wellbeing. Probably the dimension we neglect most is our spiritual. We need to search for that which nourishes us on our spiritual path – and what better way to do that than to search together!\n\nThese sessions replace the former Centering Prayer/Introduction to Meditation sessions. They will comprise input from various spiritual writers and traditions\, a period of meditation\, a sharing on the input to enrich each participant’s understanding and insight regarding the input and will end with prayers relevant to the input and to one’s daily life.

SUMMARY:Extended Meditation Practice
DESCRIPTION:Donations welcome.\n\nExtended Meditation is on the first Saturday of each month during Luisne Terms\n\nFor most of the first Saturdays throughout the year (during term time)\, we gather to share a day together of extended mindfulness meditation practice\, from 10.30 to 1.00. These sessions include quick walking\, silent meditation\, mindful walking and chanting. All are welcome. Please see the events calendar for dates.\n\nWe all need help to keep up and maintain our personal spiritual practice and for this reason\, meditation is central to life at Luisne. These sessions include quick walking\, silent meditation\, mindful walking and chanting. All are welcome!\n\nOur meditation mats and cushions are available for purchase. They are handmade using organic coconut fibre\, lamb’s wool\, buckwheat husks and cloth. Both mats and cushions have an outer removable and washable cover. The use of these mats and cushions helps to encourage correct posture and comfort during meditation and they are highly recommended for anyone who mediates on a regular basis.\n\nLooking for a comfortable mat and cushion?
