  1. SUSTAINABILITY TALKS: Our Response, Our Responsibility Sean McDonagh

    We are fortunate to have Fr Sean McDonagh lead a workshop at Luisne. Care for our environment and concern about climate change has become an issue for our governments and our society in recent times. Fr Sean has been writing and lecturing on the topic for over 30 years!! Churches are starting to become involved following the publication of Pope Francis’ document, Laudato Si. This workshop will cover the concerns Pope Francis has expressed in the document and how we can respond to them. This workshop is part of a series at Luisne on the environment. Each workshop can be attended separately or as part of the series. The greatest benefit will be gained by attending all four but this may not be possible. Every colour tells a story, the power of red in a sunset, or the red carpet?Why were cows fed mango leaves to produce Indian yellow pigment? Come and join our colour club and explore how colour affects our lives. This short course explores the story and origin of pigments in paintings and society that give social meaning to the kaleidoscope of colour around us. No materials are required just a curiosity in colour and culture.
