Barbara’s sacred dance circle is about learning how to dance, about the conscious movement of our bodies as we respond to inspiring music in a group, sharing the positive heart energy which results in healing both us and our world. May 9th begins the next 6 week session, but can be joined at any time. During these evenings of Reflections on Mysticism, we begin with a twenty-minute guided meditation session followed by a ten-minute walking meditation and then a further twenty-minute silent meditation. This practice is followed by discussion on Mysticism across Western and Eastern traditions.

Mind Body Skills Group with Heidi Jackson
This is an 8 week group course that can help you learn to transform trauma or stress into hope and healing.
In this group of no more than 10 people we will have an opportunity through practice to foster our growth using research proven skills including: Meditation, guided imagery, biofeedback, autogenic training, writing, drawing, movement and breath work.
The group will be educational, supportive, participatory and structured. These mind body skills can be immediately incorporated into daily life and will help you learn to: Increase self awareness, develop effective coping skills, use your body's natural ability to relax, release stress, increase your energy, and cultivate mental and emotional balance.

Meditation is a core practice at Luisne and has been offered as part of some courses and as a distinct practice since the beginning. These sesssions will comprise input from various spiritual writers and traditions, a period of meditation, a sharing on the input to enrich each participant’s understanding and insight regarding the input particularly as it relates to daily life.

Siobhán Casey has been a teacher with the Jade Sun School since 2016. Siobhan will be teaching TaiChi/QiGong at Luisne for the first time.
TaiChi/QiGong, using mind body awareness techniques, teaches us posture alignment and breath control to help us remember and restore our deeper natural breathing, leading to a more relaxed nervous system. This, combined with focused movements, leads to improved energy flow to the internal organs and so assists us physically, mentally, emotionally and spiritually in the movement towards greater health, happiness and enthusiasm for life’s goals.

The Mindfulness-Based Stress Reduction (MBSR) program is the most recognised and established mindfulness course and is scientifically proven to help people cope better with stress, anxiety, insomnia, and other health issues. The course consists of eight 2-hour sessions and a half-day retreat. Through guided meditations, gentle yoga, group dialogue, individually tailored instructions and home assignments, you will experience the essential principles of mindfulness as well as techniques to build your personal home practice and access its benefits even after the course.
