“Luisne, the first blush of light before dawn breaks”
translation from old Gaelic
Stay safe, be kind and we will get through these difficult times together.
“Luisne” (pronounced lishne) is Irish meaning “the first blush of light before dawn breaks”. One of Luisne’s goals is to contribute to the dawn of a new consciousness. Since 2004 Luisne has served a growing community throughout Ireland. Its beautiful undisturbed environment could justifiably be called a “spiritual landscape.”
Luisne provides events, courses, workshops, talks, meditation sessions, cultural & theatrical events and much more for the local and wider community, both on an individual and group basis.

She had intended teaching meditation but realised that while a lot of people need some kind of relaxation, they don’t always want to get into meditation. So Gretta decided to offer physical relaxation which basically involves visualisation, using the breath, and slowly and easily moving through the different parts of the body, with some additional features. It is a very simple technique and will already be familiar to some people. Gretta has been doing these relaxation sessions for a few years and when restricted by the Covid regulations, moved them on-line. Currently, she facilitates one session a week on Zoom. -
Buddhist Meditation with Osadha
March 11 @ 7:30 pm - 9:30 pm €50Meditation is a means of transforming the mind. It helps us change the way we relate to ourselves and the world around us. Join Osadha for this 5 week course. Buddhist meditation techniques offer a way of encouraging and developing positive states of mind, such as calmness, clarity, emotional positivity and a deeper seeing of the true nature of things. Over thousands of years Buddhist meditation techniques have developed to help people work with their minds, and the foundation of them all is the cultivation of a calm and positive state of mind. Through being mindful, we learn that small things can have a big effect. Becoming aware of our bodies, our emotional life, our communication with others, helps us to live a life that flows into a rich tapestry of awareness, imbued with beauty and appreciation. Central also to Buddhist meditation practice is the cultivation of friendliness or loving-kindness. It involves having an openness and emotional positivity for ourselves and other people. The course will involve learning two meditation practices to cultivate mindfulness and loving kindness. It is open to anyone: beginners, experienced meditators, Buddhists and non-buddhists alike. -

Check out Gretta's course video here Gretta is a qualified Holistic Therapist and, over the years, having learned many different types of meditation. -
